Seamless Hand-off to ALS Professionals
The HeartStart FR2+ offers features that ensure a seamless hand-off to Advanced Life Support (ALS) professionals, maximising continuity of care for the patient. The FR2+ with ECG display allows for visual monitoring of 30 to 300 beats per minute and can be switched to manual mode, giving medical professionals maximum control to treat patients effectively. For timesaving hand-offs to paramedics, the FR2+ defibrillator electrode pads can be transferred directly or via an adapter to Philips ALS defibrillators or other manufacturers’ manual ALS defibrillators while still remaining connected to the patient.
Proven  Technology
The FR2+ uses tested, proven, and trusted SMART Biphasic low-energy waveform technology. This technology is extremely effective while also being gentle on the heart, and no other defibrillation therapy has been supported by more published studies. The SMART Analysis algorithm assesses the patient’s heartbeat pattern to determine whether a shockable rhythm is present. The SMART CPR algorithm can determine if CPR should be given before defibrillation. Additionally, the FR2 has the Quick Shock feature, which allows the AED to deliver a shock in about 10 seconds, reducing the time between CPR and shock. All these features work together to provide technologically advanced, life-saving therapy to sudden cardiac arrest victims.
Optimized for Challenging Environments
The HeartStart FR2+ is the right choice for harsh, outdoor, or on-the-go use. It is highly water-resistant and can operate in temperatures between 32° and 122° F (0° to 50° C) and in humidity levels from 0% to 95% relative humidity. It can function at altitudes from -500 ft to 15,000 ft and withstands a vertical drop of 1 meter. Clear, loud, natural-sounding voice instructions are combined with text prompts on a large, back-lit display for ease of use in loud or low-light settings. At just 4.7 pounds, it's small and lightweight, making it easy to transport wherever needed.
Infant/Child Defibrillation
The FR2+ can treat patients of any age. It is essential to keep a set of  Infant/Child electrode pads on hand. These special defibrillator pads reduce the amount of energy in the shock, allowing for the treatment of smaller patients.
