COMMUNITY ACCESS DEFIB FUND

At Defibs Direct, we believe that every community should have access to life-saving equipment. Our Community Access Defib Fund is designed to support local initiatives by contributing towards the cost of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) when you raise some of the funds yourself.

How it works

Our Community Access Defib Fund aims to empower communities by making AEDs more affordable. Here’s how you can benefit from our fund:

1

Fundraising: Organise a fundraising event or campaign in your community to raise part of the funds needed for an AED.

2

Apply for Support: Once you have raised a portion of the required funds (around £599.00), apply to our Community Access Defib Fund for a contribution towards the remaining cost.

3

Receive Your AED: Upon approval, we will donate a portion of the AED cost, allowing you to purchase the IPAD NFK200 at a reduced price and enhance the safety of your community.

Success Stories

We have already helped numerous communities across the UK obtain AEDs through our Community Access Defib Fund. Here are a few success stories:

  • Local Community Initiative (Middlesbrough): A local family run pub, The Chapel, raised funds through donations at the bar and other events to purchase defib. With our support, they were able to place an AED outside the pub for all the community, enhancing safety for residents and staff. Thankfully not used as of yet their AED has been given out by North-East Ambulance Service as a precaution a number of times already.

  • Community Group (Yarm): A local community hub has fundraised to purchase four AED’s for the Yarm area, local residents ran tombola’s, stalls and other events. We topped up their funding, supplied and installed the AED’s and service them on an ongoing basis.
