IPAD SP1 Fully-Automatic Defibrillator
The iPAD SP1 Fully-Automatic defibrillator is the latest innovation from one of the
world's leading manufacturers of clinical defibrillator monitors. Designed for public access, this intelligent device prioritizes user-friendliness, ensuring anyone can operate it efficiently in an emergency.
Key Features and Benefits
User-Centric Design: Developed with the end user in mind, the iPAD SP1 features an award-winning design and high-quality manufacture. It incorporates the latest in defibrillation technology to save precious seconds when every second counts.
Intelligent Guidance: The iPAD SP1 provides calm voice prompts and large, clear illustrations that illuminate to highlight key commands. The instructions are clear and adapt automatically to background noise, crucial in noisy or challenging environments during a sudden cardiac arrest.
Dual Mode for Adults and Children: Equipped with pre-connected dual electrode pads, the device can be used on both adults and children. By lifting a clear safety cover on the front, the defibrillator switches immediately to pediatric mode, saving valuable time and reducing anxiety in emergencies.
NHS Ambulance Compatibility: The iPAD SP1 defibrillators are fully pad compatible with those carried on front-line NHS Ambulances. A simple plug-in adapter eliminates the need for pad changes when backup arrives, enhancing patient care, saving time, and reducing costs.
Operational Excellence
Seamless Pad Management: Integrated pad storage keeps electrode pads pre-connected and ready for use, stored in a clear compartment on the unit's underside. The pads are easily removed by pulling on the exposed tab, ensuring they are always ready and easy to check.
CPR Detection and Guidance: The iPAD SP1 detects if CPR is being performed and provides appropriate voice prompts. If CPR is not being performed, it encourages the responder to start. If CPR is in progress, it prompts the responder to continue, with voice prompts adjustable up to 90 decibels for clarity in noisy environments.
Visual Indicators: A visual indicator shows battery life, AED status, and electrode pad status at a glance.
Data Management: The internal memory stores the last five events or three hours of data. Data can be transferred via the built-in SD card and IrDA ports and reviewed using the 'CU-EX1' software (for PC).
Comprehensive ‘i’ Button Functions:
- Select if the CPR metronome is heard during CPR.
- Check for faults and errors.
- Provide handover information to ambulance crews (usage time and shocks delivered).
- Program CPR protocols such as compression rate, number of compressions, breaths, and cycles.
- Download data for review.
- Check the unit's software version.
Warranty and Contents
Every iPAD SP1 comes with a 7-year warranty, which can be upgraded to 10 years free of charge if registered within 3 months of purchase at iPAD Members.
Note: This defibrillator does not include a carry case and is also available in a semi-automatic version.
The iPAD SP1 is widely used by the NHS Ambulance Service, emergency services, public access schemes, community projects, and commercial organizations, making it a trusted choice for reliable and effective emergency response.
